Posting this before my AFA Day 2 coverage as I know some comrades from last nights post AFA dinner want these photos as soon as possible ^^;
Together here with the AFA team, the Moe Moe Kyun maid cafe girls, Kaname, May'n (check her blog for her post on the dinner), Yoshiki Fukuyama (King Gainer/Macross 7) and special OPs team NKDS and Bonkurasu.

This is the best bit of my job - getting to meet great folks who enrich ones life with friendship and new opportunities. Its been just an incredible roller coaster week. Came with over 400 personal/business cards and they are all gone! I really underestimated the huge power of the Anime Festival Asia - a pack of 1000 for AFA 2010? ^^; Looks like I will be doing the business card reply and meeting up with new folks for a few days when I get back to Tokyo.

Got to meet with May'ns dancers who have an online business and also teach dance lessons too! They already taught me techniques like giving names to dance moves like the "popcorn" which I do all the time - had no idea that dance moves had names. They also went through how to visualize the joints in the body to be able to get those robot popping moves out. Will be getting together to finally take those lessons instead of terrorizing citizens with my attempts to dance.

Spent time with Kaname too and he will be coming to the next Tokyo CGM Night.

Took a ride back with Commander Shawn and singer Yoshiki Fukuyama back to the hotel and talked about how I learned some of my Japanese by listening to his Macross 7 tunes - it was just awesome listening to him sing at the I Love Anisong concert.

My last day in Singapore where I got lunch and dinner meetings scheduled (I'm late again ToT) so will let the photos do the speaking again. Next post will be AFA Day 2.

Quite a few comic figure pre-orders coming from DC Direct this week including bust and action figure. Diamond Select Toys continues their Minimates line with two exclusive sets for Big Bad Toy Store featuring the original designs for the X-Men and a set for X-Factor.

What caught my eye from this batch is the Indie Spotlight Series by Shocker Toys mainly for the Tick and Dick Tracy figures. What has your wallet burning this week?

Part 1 will focus pre-orders from anime, manga and gaming. Looking for who to point the finger at for the insane quantities of Ikkitousen figure? Look no further than Taki Corporation with 4 more uninspiring figures from this series. Other than that, there is a nice variety of figures coming out with quite a few limited versions.

The Xbox-Munny hybrid piece was done by deviantsigns over on the Kidrobot forums, and I think we need to petition Microsoft immediately to make this a production piece. If you want one of these bad boys now, you will have to contact the artist. No word on if he is taking commissions or not, but we can only hope so!

The artist comments that he built this piece to reflect the horror of war. It is made of resin and actually has LED lights that turn the skull different colors when you turn out the lights (and you can check out how that looks in the gallery). An incredible day at the AFA for day one! I'm already late for day two and need to dash so only going to leave you with a summary and let the photos do all the talking.
Today I'm MC with Reiko for the K-ON! girls and then the Otacool signing session with the gorgeous Alodia who will be in Mirai cosplay - her younger sister Ashley will be in Haruka cosplay!

Spent most of the day in armor before going back to the hotel to change. The hotel room has been hit by an atomic bomb as you can see from the photos at the end of the post. Hmmm, my iPhone 3.1.2 seems to be able to use any sim card and supports tethering now - not sure why ^^;

Went back to the AFA to catch Shokotan on stage before heading off to dinner with the big bosses from Good Smile Company, Cospa, Genesis Frontier and Bushi Road.

Good Smile showed some photos of a special product which will be out this December - its sooooooooooooo cute! Will change Nendoroid fans life (probably) ^^;

Was great to meet so many readers! Hope to get to meet folks who I missed yesterday. Thank you all for coming to see my shenanigans on stage and for dropping by my booth ^^ See you later - gotta run!

All this happened in the past 24 hours. Having an amazing time - All looks like play but its actually hard work ^^; But fun - incredibly fun ^o^
Spoke at the Animation Asia Conference and met folks like the producer of Summer Wars and the Girl Who leapt through time (Mamoru Hosoda) and the CEO of Kadokawa (Haruhi/Lucky Star).

Then there was a press conference for the AFA taking place tomorrow from 10AM at the Suntec Convention Center.
Met Kaname, May'n and Uchiro Mizuki too. Shokotan came late but will probably catch up with her tomorrow.

Got onto CNN again with CNNGo and the Cospa South East Asia site launched on Mirai Gaia.

Also been spending a load of time working on my booth with Good Smile Company.

I need to hit the sack now to get some kip for an early morning for final rehearsals for my bit on stage tomorrow at 15:30. Rehearsals include my bit MC'ing with Reiko for the K-ON! Seiyuu on stage at 13:15.

AFA is going to be incredible where we expect 50,000 attendees. See you tomorrow morning!
